The Wines
RED WINES
:: Our red wine, which is refined from Mourvèdre (55 %), Grenache (20 %), and Cinsault (15 %) and from Carignan (10 %), is a wine that remains true to the character of Bandol, through its power, composition, and its very unique flavors.
Our special cuvée «Cuvée des Lauves», which is to be kept for several years in a wine cellar, is comprised of 95 % Mourvèdre and 5 % aged Carignan ; this is the estate's finest.
ROSE WINES
:: Our rosé wine, so true to the character of Bandol, is a blend of Mourvèdre (40 %), Cinsault (30 %), Grenache (20 %) and of Carignan (10 %)
The malo-lactic fermentations are typically blocked to retain freshness and energy. This is a full, smooth, wine that lingers on the taste buds, which is as much a dinner wine as it is an aperitif.
The «Cuvée Sainte Catherine» is a special cuvée, comprised of 95 % Mourvèdre and 5 % Carignan : this is a true dinner rosé wine, which is best opened after at least two years in a wine cellar.
WHITE WINES
:: The white wine is refined with Clairette (75%), and Ugni white (25%). Fermented at a low temperature, it is mainly made by grape-skin maceration, which gives it its smoothness and character to the taste buds. Like the rosé wines, the malo-lactic fermentation is generally blocked to retain the freshness and elegance.
LOCAL WINES
:: The red or rosé wines are a blend of Carignan, (70 %), Cinsault (20 %) and Grenache (10 %). These wines are less powerful than the Bandols, lighter, and more desirable for your everyday meals.
