The "Domaine La Suffrène"

:: The estate which has been a family homestead for generations, yet it was only in 1996, after taking their grapes to local cooperatives for many years, that the property was granted its own winery.

:: 1996 was thus the first vintage at the estate under the name «DOMAINE LA SUFFRENE », the name that was selected in reference to the named locality La Sufffrène, in the municipality of Brûlât, which must have been the residence of a companion of the Bailiff of Suffren, and extends over an area of the property's vineyards.

:: The area of production of the « Domaine La Suffrène » is noted for the variety and wealth of its soil, thanks to a significant parceling of its land areas.
Fundamentally situated on sandy-silt-laden, calcareous and clayey lands, it extends over 45 hectares between the municipalities of the Cadière d' Azur and the Castellet, in the department of the Var.
